Hiking Cathedral Rock Trail in Sedona

Out of the four vortex hikes in Sedona, this one was our favorite. It was also the most difficult. Although it’s only 1-1.5 miles to the summit (depending on which website you check), it is all uphill to varying degrees and will require more time than you might expect.

The Best Turtle Viewing on Maui

If turtles (or surfing) are your thing, the best place to visit is Ho’okipa Beach on the North Shore of Maui, a bit past the main strip in Paia. On the final day of our visit, Maui sent us off with the delightful experience of seeing over 200 Green Sea Turtles (Honu) basking on the sandy beach at Ho’okipa.

The Best Sunset Viewing in San Diego

Watching the sun dip down behind the vast expanse of the ocean from high atop the cliffs in San Diego is a delightful experience. The Sunset Cliffs in San Diego offer the best views.

Visiting Point Loma Tide Pools

The most important thing to know when planning a visit to the Point Loma tide pools is when it is low tide! The only time to completely explore the tide pool areas are from mid-September through mid-April. During the rest of the year, low tide occurs when the park is closed.
