Visiting North Star Nature Preserve in Aspen, Colorado

The North Star Nature Preserve is 245 acres, not all available to the public, located in Aspen, Colorado.

Parking is very limited, and we ended up not taking our original hike because we could not find parking in that area.

The Roaring Fork River runs through the center of the preserve.

Visiting Hanalei Bay Beach Park and Wainiha Bay Park in Kauai

Hanalei Bay Beach Park boasts 2 miles of sandy beachfront. Both the pier and the beach are favorite spots for photographers.

Anini Beach is home to a vast reef in relatively shallow waters. It is located on the north shore of Kauai and is a less crowded alternative to Hanalei Bay.
